SPEAK NO EVIL

I was so depressive last week. Currently, I am looking for a job, and I would like to try retail. Last two weeks, I went to a store in Eaton Centre and saw there was a store, beside the sport store in concourse level and selling something mostly for kids, had a sign of hiring. I wanted to talked to manager and dropped off my resume. When I started talking to him, he already gave me attitude. I asked him when I had an interview if I was qualified. He gave me a face and talked to me impertinently,"I don't know. I am looking for someone who can satisify my customers." I used to work in retail for one and a half year, and I have retail experience. And I saw all the staff are white only. I was not sure if the manager was racist. I went to there one more time last week. As I expected, the hiring sign was gone. I didn't get any interview. I talked to one of the staff, she told me, "oh, I got this job with few months experience only." Well, I was really pissed. I have more experience but couldn't get a job. The manager would rather hire a white person who only has few months experience. There are many retail stores I know that those managers gave you a face and attutide with you dropped off resumes in Eaton Centre. They always like to judge people by their race. I talked to a friend of mine. He told me I was not the only one. I cannot stand for it and do not understand why the government never do something on this kind of problem. People always blame not enough people and why people are always gone in Toronto. I think they DO have to think about how serious the problem of racism in Toronto firstly. It is not only when you hear people say " I am white, I am always right. You nigga (or whatever words discribe other races of people)," and you realize the problem of racism. WHO WOULD LOUDLY TELL YOU THAT I LIKE WHITE ONLY ON THE STREET? They just tell themselves or so.
